Seems Fernandez is also a recipent of the Acura engines for next season. Wonder if he'll continue in the Rolex series or jump ship completely to ALMS? Sebring is going to be a most interesting race. GO AUDI R10 for overall.

The Andretti Green and Fernandez Racing IRL IndyCar series squads will spearhead Honda's attack on the American Le Mans Series next year.

AGR and Fernandez, who have run Honda engines in the IRL since 2003 and '04 respectively, have been unveiled at a press conference along with Duncan Dayton's Highcroft Racing squad as the three teams to run the new Acura 3.4 litre engine.

Honda are expected to field up to four cars, supplied by two constructors for the full ALMS, starting with the Sebring 12 Hours next March.

Highcroft has joined forces with former Indy 500 winner Danny Sullivan to land the Honda deal. Sullivan is a friend of Daytons and brings the experience to a team that joined the ALMS for the first time in 2006.

Highcroft and AGR will run Courage's as-yet unraced LC75 chassis, a development of the LMP1 LC70. Fernandez, whose role will be focused on chassis development, will use the latest version of Lola successful B05/40 LMP2 contender.

How many cars each team will run will be announced at a later date.

    Hmmm.

Which other teams and manufacturers are looking to something other than Grand American?

Makes you wonder doesn't it? there's a write up on the ALMS site - www.americanlemans.com

Portland looks like it is going to be a good race. Our next ALMS race to attend is Mosport over Labor Day weekend then Petit LeMans.

The ACO will limit the fuel tank capacity of all diesels cars next year and the AMLS will restrict the fuel delivery rate by 15% this year. Next race? It dose not say.
