We need another track day or something. Looking at the VIR calender it looks like something is always going on there. Anybody crash some of those other events.

Tarheel Chapter BMWCCA, Tarheel Sportscar Club are the best two, but plenty of other opportunities there.

-Peter (18 weekends at VIR the first several years and counting <grin>)

Guys, I've been looking at CMP, Rockingham, or even Lowes for a FCA event sometime in late July,August, or September. It will have to be a Ferrari and Friends event. It would be nice to have a track event each quarter, or at the least, three good track events per year locally. I have been lucky to have done Daytona (just a few contolled laps but fun), Sebring (passsed by an FXX!), VIR, and now on the way to Summit Point next week for the FCA National meet. Good idea...lets do it. Which track do you perfer?

Also, come on in and join the road tour June 23-25 at Lake Lure. If you have never dirven these roads, you have no idea...

If you are a VIR Club member I know they are having a Track Day on June 3rd with Lee Davis on the North Course.
VIR Club days are June 3rd and 4th which is the next Track event for all sorts of cars.

CMP is probably the best bet for FCA-SC

    I'd be up for it!

I'd imagine so also, probably a lot easier to get a weekend event going there compared to VIR. I would imagine it's substantially more cost effective also. :D

Sorry, is too close to Roeblin for me and the most other FCA members. Come on in and join the FCA and hit Roebling in October. It's a great get together, including Savannah-the great city, etc. We have a run group for other cars.

By the way, I am at the National Meet now, and it is awesome! In the lobby, a 500 TRC, new Challenge car, and a replica of the orignal plan with the insignia. Concours in a few hours, Summit Point for three days beginning on Friday. Great peolpe and a favolous time. These events are fun, and you do not have to own a Ferrari to participate.

I am still interested in setting up CMP, Rockingham or Lowes are discussed above. Also, check out the "Dirty Dancing Raod Tour"
