No criticism whatsoever, your car looks great. But that being said, you asked for opinions so here's mine. 1. I agree with the comment about the red calipers. Something to me personally about the yellow shields look better with yellow calipers, but that's totally personal preference. 2. I spec'd the hifi, the demo car had the standard and it makes the system in 99% of rental cars seem good... 3. Might consider the leather headliner...it's something that seems should be standard in a car like this but to me makes it feel richer inside with top up. Probably nothing anyone but you would ever notice. I'm coming out of McLaren and Aston that both had really nice headliners. 4. Curious as to why you skipped the CF centre tunnel? You have a fair amount of other CF in the car and to me the centre tunnel looks really cool. That being said, the car looks great just as is.
Thanks so much. 1) I went back and forth on the calipers. My 458 has red on red and my F12 has yellow on red. 2) I will go test out the hifi I am getting a ton of comments on that. 3) yes car has leather headliner. I test drove one without and it was pretty cheap feeling 4) not sure i guess at some point i had to draw the line maybe i should add it back in thanks for taking the time to respond
So, based on what my SA told me and seeing the CF parts, it seemed to me the tunnel was more "bang for the buck" than the dash inserts or vents...but it's really personal preference. I skipped those and did the center tunnel on my spec. Which might get built in 2046 LOL.
The biggest bang for buck carbon interior pieces are steering wheel and tunnel, everything else can be skipped without really feeling like you're losing much. The standard carpets saves like $6k vs the alcantara - this is how my GTB is set up (except in Crema) and it's certainly nice enough inside. I will say - the carbon buckets look incredible - way better than the standard seats. Here's what cuoio seats/dash over standard black carpeting looks like in the configurator (which obviously takes all the richness out of Cuoio the colour, but you at least get a sense): Image Unavailable, Please Login
I haven't locked my GTS spec yet, but I don't know that they're comfortable enough for how I will use the car (more GT/weekend cruiser). I have buckets in my GT3 daily and I think they're a bit easier to spend time in than the Ferrari buckets. I'll take another look though. The base seats are fine enough, they just look boring. I might switch to comfort daytonas - have them in a couple of cars, and I like them quite a lot. But I'm trying to be "judicious" on options (a losing battle, I think).
Interior is too busy, it’s the seats. That design is terribly outdated “Daytona?” Racing in the tan can work really well but simplify the style. Red stripe maybe a bit much as currently specd. Silver calipers could be better also.
Thank you! I don't know why but I just can't let go of the daytonas. All the Ferraris I've owned had them.... I checked on autotrader and only 4 of the 50 listed have daytonas so you appear to be correct...
