Greetings! Does anybody have an Ansa FE 2020 exhaust that is listed as the correct item for early 308s? I have the wrong Ansa on my 1976 308 and while it fits fine it does not allow me use the small rear spoiler that goes under the bumper. Any experience or pictures that you might share will be greatly appreciated. Also, wheres the best place to purchase an Ansa and how much should I expect to pay?

Not sure about the early cars but I battled with trying to get the FE2620 to fit on my '82. Much in the same way as your issue, the 2620 wouldn't allow for the valence to be used, and while I never did get a straight answer from Ansa or GT Car Parts on whether it was a manufacturing defect or that it was meant for a Euro-spec car, I wound up sending it back and keeping my stock muffler. :(

Right out of the ANSA Sport catalogue...

Call GT Car parts in AZ. They had good prices on them when I was looking. Opted for an X-OST instead.

One thing to keep in mind is that those F application listings on the ANSA website are for euro-version models only. FE2020 may fit '77 and earlier US 308B/S (or it may not), but I know for sure that it wouldn't fit '78-'79 US 308B/S which uses FE2040 (and has different hanger brackets). Also, even if they fit, they may not allow the cats to be mounted (like FE2040 shown here):

Also the 308QV muffler shown (with dual inlets) would not fit a '84-'85 US version 308QV (which has a single inlet).

This what the rear balance looks like. I copied this picture from another FChatter.....this is not my actual car but I wanted to show the small balance that I had to remove. The problem is that the tips with my current Ansa (I bought used on Ebay) are about an inch high and dont have enouph clearance for the balance.

I also like the looks of the FE 2020 as it seems to have a nicer look due to the thicker exhaust tips. It seems to maintain a somewhat stock look while looking more modern than my current exhaust. I wish I had an actual picture.
