Hey guys, when I got my 348, it had a power antenna. But it was failing. So when I removed it, I found that the antenna section was separate from the motor housing. By this, I mean the the there was a couple of feet of flexible cable from the motor to the extendable antenna. This setup worked well because the length of the extendable section was shorter than the units that have the antenna attached directly to the motor. This allowed for remote mounting of the motor. But I could not find this type of power antenna anywhere. So I had to go with the one piece version. The extra length puts the bottom of the unit right on top of the battery. It is a tight fit. Well, now this unit failed. So, does anyone know of a source for the remote style power antenna similar to the one I had to start with? Thanks for the help!

PS. By the way, my brake calipers should be out of powder coating on Monday! :D I am still taking pictures of the whole process and will do a DIY writeup when I am done.

This should do the trick.(it is on ebay) Too bad they drilled the hole in the body... I alway put an amplied antenna above the mirror on the windsheid to avoid cutting the car...The miata antenna is a one piece super short profile antenna as the miasta has the same issue you do with the clearance! let me know if you have any questions...

Hello Scott, thanks for the link. I actually found that last night while doing more research. At this point, I think that will be my best option. I cannot find an antenna anywhere with the remote mast like the one I had. But, with the overall height of this antenna, I think it should work well. Thanks again for your efforts. Todd
