My cousin's Mac, one in the office and the other at home, had a pop up, saying that his Mac mighty be affected by a virus, and was asking if he wants to send a report to Apple.

now, i always thought there's no virus for Mac. but while my cousin surfs, his browser just shuts off. so, there's surely a virus in there. anybody have any idea of any sites or anti virus for mac? or better still, anybody have experienced this before?

i'm going to replace my current pc with a Mac desktop at the end of the month. i really hope this virus thing won't be a common thing for Mac.

    Thanks guys.

It's much more likely that your cousin's not very bright than his Mac picked up a virus.

True. I have had them for over 10 years with no virus issues at all. (And I look at a lot of porn! :p )

Check the Apple.com site under discussions and or ask there.

What browser does he use? We've had problems with Firefox on our Mac, but not with Safari.

I had problems with Firefox, too. This was on a $3,000 MacBook Pro.

Are you running parallel on it? Use Safari for web browsing. If you use IE it makes your computer more susceptible to virus'
If you still want a anti virus use:

    http://www.clamxav.com/

Its free and the most used.
