Good news is I'm approved for financing for 140K. What I want is 2005 E-Gear Gallardo. I don't care about options or miles. Looking for either Black/Orange/Pearl Yellow/Grey.

    I'm seeing 2004's in the low 130K's.

Anyone know of anyone selling a 05 in my price range?

I suppose if it had a lot of miles on it and not many options yeah. But every 05 I've seen was $155ish+.

I am sure you have already talked to Kevin at Cats. If it is out there he will find it for you.

For that kind of money (140K) you should be concerned with the mileage, etc. Why just buy some beater just to say that you have a Lambo. It might be more trouble down the road, so to speak, because fixing it will not be cheap.

With my previous F-360 by the time I sold it the car had 43K on the clock. To me the cars are ment to be driven to keep in good working order. I actually prefer the higher mileage cars. To me they feel like they run stronger and stronger with more miles. To each his own.

Couldnt agree to you more and ANY good ferrari/lambo mechanic will attest to it. A car which is driven and has a bit of higher mileage is a much better car usually for the most part.

The 2004's are touching that range with 20k-30k miles. You'd be hard pressed to find the 2005's in that range for another 6-15 months though. You may have to wait.

The 2005's had some tech changes including the front end lift capability. They revamped the clutch a couple times that year as well. Also a lot of folks with 2005's haven't had a chance to rack up enough miles on them yet to drop them into that price range.

I guess I should have said from a dealer. There are definitely private sale cars out there that you can do a little better on the mileage vs. price. Depending on how bad someone needs the dough, you may find an amazing deal on almost anything!

It seems that many dealers though the miles are higher if you're seeing that price.

I got a Chrysler Voyager Mini Van as a daily driver. After I sold the F-360 the Northwest F group started making fun of the van so I changed the avatar to a van. Just a on going joke:)

If you're limited to having to finance the entire amount of the loan you can get ($140K), I suggest you don't buy anything.

If you're not in a position to add some of your own money to the deal, say $10-20- 30K, or whatever, I really don't think it would be financially prudent to make a purchase.

This is just an assumption as you didn't give a full explanation, but if I read it correctly, I would think you're cash-strapped. It sounds like you can only buy a car costing the amount of the loan you can get.

Also, I don't believe in completely financing the purchase of an expensive, depreciating asset.

But hey, that's just me! :)

I can pay cash for the car if I choose but will not do that. I will finance 100% of the car.

i am also keeping an eye on the '05-'06 market.....thinking a shade of red or yellow. That silver just seems to take away from the car :( Did consider orange but wife thought it might be passe in a couple of years and damn near impossible to get rid of. i told her that i'd probably never get rid of it then she said, "Hmmm, I always thought you and I would look good in a murcielago!" I didn't even know she knew how to pronounce it, much less what it was!!!

I'm afraid she's just doing what all women do best - being a co#% tease :D

I don't really like silver either. A G a Lambo not an AMG or something. Pearl White can look good though in my opinion. I love the look of it with tinted windows and taillights, and black wheels.

Red can look good on G's, just make sure it doesn't look to much like a Ferrari.

I think Verde and Orange will hold there value very well. Very desired colors. They both look great, even though orange is becoming kinda common. Before everybody was buying yellow Lambos, but now when it comes to G's orange is pretty common too. For me I wouldn't get yellow or orange because it's what everyones doing but thats just me.

I think pearl white, verde ithaca, and pearl orange are the best G colors (even though it seems like everybody who has a G is getting orange now), with Grigio Proteus closely behind (looks great with yellow or red calipers). Black is growing on me but it feels like it needs to have black wheels and tint to give the full stealth effect.

Color is really a matter of opinion though. Just felt like saying mine. Sorry to take up server space Rob.

    :)
