    In the market for a project car with mechanical issues! Anything out there?

    Any car under 100k€ would have some mechanical issues. A 40k€ car would certainly need to adjust valve shims and timing, k-jet service, new rubber (tires & hoses), and chase a few electric gremlins, which all in all is quite a lot of work.

    If you need to work on the lower portion of the engine (crankshaft, pumps, timing chain tensioners), hours and parts cost may start to soar.

    For sure - definitely comfortable hopping into a full mechanical restoration. Just not looking to do a lot of body/paint, not my thing ;).
