    Found this photo of Ed Gilbertson "Painting the Horse" at an Bay Area FOC meeting in 1984. Is this still done? Anyone know where this location is? I've also seen other photos of Ferraris taken near this pole.

    Anyone?

    The Ferrari Pacific has a tradition of the Pres. painting the horse on a water tower every year on the Delta Dash. I have never been, so I can not tell you if that is the same tower or not.

    I've never been either, but saw the pics of last year - the water tower looks to be the same (out in the middle of nowhere), but looked to be entirely covered only with cavallino (cavallini?) from past years. Quite a tribute really.

    It's the same tower. Every year, in Feb, the club meets drives to the water tower, the new President paints the water tower (not over the old paintings) and then we drive to the hotel, where there is a meeting, drinks, etc. It's called the "Delta Dash".

    I am pretty sure this is the water tower not far from my house. There is a levy road by the river here in Sacramento where there is a tower that looks just like your picture. I have driven by it before and always wondered its deal, thanks for the backround.
