I'm thinking about buying a mustang from Laval Canada. Does anyone have experience with importing a car from Canada or can point me to an importer?

Very easy to do. If the car is registered in your name, just go to your local customs office (I went to Dulles airport - it's opposite the cellphone parking lot), they will give you the customs and EPA certification (since Mustang's are made in the US, there is no import duty), and then go to the DMV, hand in the customs/EPA paper work with the Canadian registration, and voila, you have a VA registered car.
