Any advice on Lexan/Polycarbonate rear windshields as replacement for regular road use (not racing)....

To use or not to use?

    A) they are cheaper
    B) they are lighter

    but...

    C) do they experience bad enough elements in the rear to result in wear/scratches
    D) are they thinner than original glass and need to fill the resultant gap in the gasket?
    E) do they have distorted vision around the bends?
    F) no rear de-mister
