Would really like to upgrade the headunit in my 2010 Cali, the only option the dealer has is a unit which is quite out of date already.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a shop familiar with exotics?

I'd talk to Cauley Ferrari. They should know what to do or who to talk to.

They have an option for an upgrade but it's a very outdated unit, doesn't even have CarPlay which is most important to me in order to pair the Waze app to my radar detector. If it wasn't so outdated I would go with it because even with Ferrari prices it isn't too crazy, not cheap mind you but not Ferrari crazy.

I am going in for a new suspension next week, I will ask then but they don't really like being asked about outside work from what I have noticed. Can't blame them for that.

Yea I know that thread well, if that's what it comes down then I will give it a shot myself but I would rather not. My biggest hang up is actually installing a rear camera that would need to go with the new unit, taking out the OEM one.

I've swapped out a Single DIN on my 355 to add a new Alpine to give me Bluetooth - That was Easy
On my 430 I put in a Bluetooth Receiver to add Bluetooth for Media as it had Phone Connection already, but that doesn't cover Nav or Music
On my 458 I have the iPod Connector so I used the Invery unit many people talked about on FChat
My Latest addition is the 612 which has the Bose Unit, so Phone Again, but no NAV or Streaming....
I've been tossing around the idea of going down your same Rabbit hole for Android Auto on the 612

I have one of those units that makes the ipod connection a bluetooth receiver if that is the same as the "Invery" unit you're referring to. It seems to have a mind of it's own but I'm fine with using the AUX jack for music. I'm not necessarily worried about that in regards to replacing the head unit my main reason for wanting to swap it out is to match up the waze app with my radar detector, it may sound silly but that waze app has bailed me out a lot in my other cars with apple carplay. I'm not some jackass flying down the road but still you're driving a Ferrari, it definitely helps! The rest of the convenience I definitely wouldn't complain about, not having a wire running to the radio would be nice.

I've done audio installs on my cars before, taking apart the dash doesn't intimidate me I just have to be careful enough I suppose and I wouldn't be the first one that has done it so with some research I'm sure I can find the correct harness/parts to make things match up and the steering controls working all that good stuff. The part where I would prefer a professional would be the backup camera and microphone, I don't believe I can use the existing ones in the head unit so then I'm running wires throughout the car and installing things which may not fit properly.....I don't like the prospect of that on a Ferrari.

Hopefully I can get somewhere with it and find someone local who has experience doing it.

    Invery replaced my Bovee one
They look identical, but the Invery one is newer & works sooooop much better.
Looks up 99% of the time, wheras the Bovee was 20% of the time, unplug, try again, rinse, repeat...

I do believe mine is the bovee one, thank you for that info. Which invery unit was it? I don't believe I saw a Ferrari specific one....

Kinda stinks to lose the Bluetooth calling though when you hook it up.
