Considering a used 2013 GT or GTC. Is there enough room for 4? I have a ferrari California and my two children really don't fit in the back seat. Do you recommend the V12, or is the V8 preferred? We live in Florida, leaning towards the GTC- but wife likes the look of the coupe. Any pearls I should consider? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

As someone who has two small kids and often ponders all the nice 2+2 GT type cars (Cali, Bentley GT, DB9, Granturismo, 456, 612, etc.) as a future purchase, just how unusable have you found the Cali rear seats to be? Did you kids fit at one point and have simply outgrown them?

Will be following this thread with interest!

I just recently sold a gtc W12 , Had this car for 4 years, prior to this I had a coupe-also a W12. I used both of these as my daily driver.
I think they are great cars- enough room in the back for teenage children for medium size journeys but not for a long trip.
I haven't driven the V8 but I hear they are very good, although in the Uk the price differential is negligible and the W12 engine is superb - powerful and super smooth.
The cars are great to drive - very nicely appointed and I would heartily reccomend them.
I'm going the other way and am looking for the right 458- going to use this as an occasional motor, as I have other cars that I can use on a daily basis for work or when taxiing the children around.
I have the same quandry ; coupe , which I prefer the lines of and the visible engine or spider so I can drive with the roof off !

The California is fine for very short trips. My children are 20 and 7. For longer trips we take the range rover. Hopefully the Bently would provide us another comfortable option. The dealers are pushing me toward the V8 S. They say it is sportier and handles better. But haven't heard any complaints about the w12.

I have a GT W12….its a great car. Super comfortable, quality, GT performance, and the space in the back is good for short trips…I have done decent distances with 4 adults…it may not be wow as of comfort…but will do the trick.

Dont hesitate! one of the best cars I have owned.

    Regards

I have a W12 Speed and my kids fit in the back perfectly.

The very best car for long trips too!

When my wife passed I started to use the McLaren F1 more because of my twin grls but what a pain in the arse to get in and out of!

I own a '03 convertible W12 but it has many custom features that are not on the standard model. It probably has a lot more in common with their Speed model that is now available.

Look into the S model your dealer is pushing you towards I'm not that familiar with that but I do know it has a sportier look and some features not on the others.

Since you mentioned working with a dealer and are serious ask them if a service or demo model is available on the weekend. Ask for one near the end of the sales day on Sat. and return it on Monday and go for a nice Sunday drive in the meantime. Try the other model out on another weekend and then decide. Make sure the kids are with you and let them haul all their stuff with them into the back seat. Check out all the connections and comforts with them in mind.

Good luck either way. I went W!2 because I have the mind set bigger is better but it seems in the press they like the V8. As I said that S model might mean the difference to you.

I've got the Spur because of my kids - 5 and 7. It truly is a great car and if I could only have one out of my 13 cars, the Bentley will be the choice without hesitation.

    I have a GT V8 S.

Rear seats have less room than a Panamera, but I think more than a Rapide. A bit difficult to climb in and out of.
