ARRGH - My first day back in about 15 years - I missed a 4 point and perfect 8 point this morning. I am sick!!!! Anyone else on here with good/bad stories??
I don't have one story, I have too many!!!! Thats why we bowhunt. I just moved from Illinois to Dallas!!! BIG CHANGE!!!! It's been VERY frusterating. However, I was out tonight and things got a bit better. Saw my first damn Texas deer. I had scouted like hell and never even kicked up a deer. Seeing lots of scrapes and rubs, but no deer. Well, tonight a small fork horn rolled through. All things are bigger in texas!!!! I can think of one thing Illinois has that is bigger. I know this is my first sighting but.... This deer couldn't have been more than 110 lbs. I wanted to take him but I passed. He sat broadside at 22 yards for about 10 minutes. It would have ended my season. This is the only place I have scouted due to time and local. Good luck with the rest of your season.
