I’m having some heart issues and my doctor did an EKG and lots of blood tests. My blood pressure has been great for years, now it’s fluctuating high and low. The EKG shows an abnormality and the doctor says I have an RBBB.
Right bundle branch block is a conduction abnormality affecting the electrical signals in the right ventricle of the heart.
So with all this, I was given the option of seeing a cardiologist on October 10th, which I rejected and ask if there was another doctor somewhere else that I could see sooner ? I was given September 22 at a different hospital in the same group.
MY QUESTION, along with my friends that have had heart surgeries and pacemakers, IS, should I wait two weeks or try a different hospital group ???
I’m able to take it easy and stay home and haven’t had any really bad symptoms that would require calling an ambulance.
    I appreciate any advice !!!
    Thank You,
    Dominic

Hey Dominic, I would repost this in Silver. You’ll get more activity there. Good luck.

Good day, many people(!) have RBBB. My cardiologist explained that during exercise the heart gets activated from the other side, which takes a bit. Means in real life: If I hike or bike, I start 5 minute slow and then go up to my desired level of performance. Like warming up your oil...

Come to Cape Town for a check up ($300?). Enjoy the wine and scenery, hike the mountain :)

    Hello Dominik,
    I like your name :D
Cape Town, as in South Africa ???
My neighbor and close friend is from there !!! Shafieka is her name and her husband Angus is from Scotland. I’ll have to let her know that I spoke to you !!!
I think it would cost a lot more than 300 bucks to visit your doctor, but I appreciate the invite.
I was told to relax as much as possible and probably shouldn’t play golf for the time being. UGH.
    Thank You & TTYS,
    Dominic ;)

    Hi Dom,

it was not long ago ZAR 3.000 to run all the tests including interview, blood flow, ECG, ultrasound (like when looking at a baby in a womb), and... Two cardiologists, three nurses, 3 hours duration :)

Send me a PM and I provide docs details. He is in the Kuilsrivier clinic. Lovely guy. For patient's questions he has a 6am to 7am whatsapp free hotline.

    Afternoon you can play golf!

    Cheers, Dom ;-)

    Hello Dom,
While I appreciate the information, I won’t be flying from The USA to South Africa to see the cardiologist.:D I’m not sure about WhatsApp, but I’ll look into it !!!
    Thanks & TTYS,
    Dom

Hi Dom, says hello to Angus and Shafieka!

You could combine a lovely holiday with a doctor visit.
I only mentioned whatsapp to tell you that in addition to a very affordable assessment, the doc entertains a free whatsapp hotline for existing clients. You would be surprised what his heart ablation costs. Can't distract this forum here too much from cars, else I would mention.

So here is your trip mapped out: 4 nights at Kruger national park, 4 nights in Cape Town. One morning at the doc ;-)

February used to be a good time when we had the "Piper" weekends in Johannesburg and Cape Town. Piper, as in David Piper.
Yes, I am marketing my country of choice here a bit :) Even though that the UK guys are hardly coming with their cars anymore.

    Cheers, Dom
