Anyone know a speaker that can be put where the OEM tweeter is? I was thinking about ripping the speaker off and putting a higher quality speaker in its place?

    Any suggestions?

Listening to the radio or CD player when driving my Fcar is not something that I even remotely consider when the real music is right behind me in surround sound.

This answer does not help the OP.

I'm sure he enjoys the sound of the engine as much as the rest but may want to hear the radio occasionally. I feel the same.

Your answer doesn't help him either.

I don't see anything about changing tweeters up above, but merely a little stab at my reply.

I will get right into any mechanical or electrical/electronic area of the car that may require attention, but the stock sound system with the Becker, good door speakers, and dash tweeters, to my mind are well fit for purpose.

Don't now assume that I'm tone deaf, since that would be totally wrong.

I'm a musician since childhood, and apart from a hands-on approach to fine cars, and helis,
the remaining greater portion of my life is consumed by music.

I feel that anything more exotic in a sound system fitted in a Ferrari, would probably take my attention away from the concentration required to drive it in the manner for which it was designed.

I did Focals and it was a perfect fit. I also changed head unit to one that has USB port.

I would (and did) change both speakers (Focals) and if you want a good system, add a sub, amp and new headunit that will accept an Ipod. The stock speakers are crap, paper backing, that were cracking in my '06. Unless your a purest for original equipment, take the plunge. It's well worth it.

I installed the following and am very very happy with the results:

    Head unit = Pioneer dvd/xm/traffic/nav
    Speakers =
    - JL XR tweeters and mid-range in the doors (grills are OEM)
    - JL 10" sub custom built in a box (leather to match interior) and installed behind the passenger seat

    - JL amp in the fron hood under a false bottom with a fan to keep the amp cool

    hope this helps

I have MB Quart 5.1 component speakers in mine. Sounds great. I drive my cars frequently and although I love hearing the engine, it gets a little old on the highway at a set speed. I did not do the installation myself but I am pretty sure any companent speaker setup will fit it the tweeter location as they are all basically the same size. The main are of concern is with the lower speaker in the door, make sure you get a 5" speaker.

Ok guys, so I did it, I changed the tweeter and the look of the plastic.

Anyone interested, I can do this job for them for $350 including the speakers.

I assume there was some cutting and trimming to make the Focal speakers fit the OEM mount?

    What Focal's did you purchase.

    Please advise,
