    I'm fairly sure there's a thread somewhere here that carb hood/bonnets do fit i or qv - and presumably vice-versa - I'd be interested in knowing too

    i bought a QV hood for my carb 308, and the hinge bolt holes did not line up. off by at least an inch........

    Same with me. I did the reverse and bought a carb hood for my QV. It looks the same everywhere except when you try to put it on. My body shop guy has it in his garage right now. I'll post what he finally decides to do.

    sold the QV hood on ebay, but i wanted the vent in the hood, so the body shop cut the hole and i bought the factory vent louvers. looks great with better cooling on a carby 308

    yes, the body shop that did this mod and removed all the hail dents, performed with the precision of surgeons. restored it back to euro body by removing the side lights in the rear, and putting the original round marker lights in the front.
