Right folks, after a few years of Rosso Corsa ownership I'd like to change (temporarily) the colour of my F355 and the most obvious option is car wrapping.

The paint of the F355 is not a multi-layers paint like modern Ferraris so is there anybody in the group that has already wrapped and unwrapped their F355 and tell me if it's safe to do that? Would the paint handle a wrapping without any potential damage on the body? I wouldn't want to unwrap mine with a bad surprise!

Seems like a horrible idea to me. I think the the chances you will damage 25 year old paint are high and I think l wraps look cheap. That’s pretty much all opinion, but I thought I’d offer it.

Modern wrappning films are so good you hardly tell if it's a paint or not but yeah what makes me worried is that we're talking about a 25 years old paint.

I know nothing first-hand about this technology but have been watching some videos of them being done, seems interesting. I saw it on a auto themed TV program a couple months ago which got me searching. Liquid car wraps, which are sprayed on. Here's an example, no affiliation:

I would actually think single stage is long term less stressful than clearcoat because you can buff down the single stage to refresh it after removing the wrap, versus the issues with pulling clear off.

Nope at the end I've kept it red, I've been told by multiple people it's better not to risk as the paint of the F355 is delicate and the paint could peel off the day I decide to unwrap it - a potential full repaint would be an expensive mistake.
