any experience with Superformance faster steering rack?

    I need to have my steering rack rebuilt anyway and it seems to me the ratio is a bit too slow on these cars.

    Does anyone have experience with the 2.5 turns lock to lock rack sold by Superformance?
    My car seems to have about 3.25 turns.

    Nice when on the move but low down speed i felt the steering got very heavy.

    Took it off in the end and reverted back to the standard rack.....much happier

    I went through the same thing a few years ago . I ended up buying one from Superformance & never put it in. I had a variety of issues with my rack & had John Haller rebuild it. He did a great job and it was more complicated than you might think. I can give you his details off-line. I do have the Superformance quick Rack & would sell it if you are interested- Never used!! However the best advice is to go with John.

    Which is it:

    "Greg328 [TOOK] out . . . ." or "Greg328 [PUT] the quicker ratio on his 308GTB . . . ."?

    I fitted one to my car, it is really great on the move but very heavy when manouvering. In spite of this I think its worth it

    any idea what the stock rack steering ratio is vs the superperformace quick rack?
