I am looking to have my car shipped back from Canada. The only company I can find who will go to Canada is TFX. What few reviews I can find on the internet are a little iffy. In a phone call with the company I was told they shipped about 50 cars for the FCA Annual Experience.

If anyone here has used them could you relate your experience.

Also if anyone has another recommendation I would appreciate it. I contacted InterCity, Reliable, Plycar and Horseless Carriage. None will go into Canada.

Paul, I used TFX to ship my 512TR from Ontario to Western NY. Not a long trip, but they also had to handle the transit through U. S. Customs at the Border as well. Everything went smoothly and the truck made it to my chosen destination in just a little longer than it took me to drive there myself (I was at the pick-up point). The driver was very professional and the rig was essentially brand new and immaculate. The pick-up was delayed by a day because of a flat on the Volvo Cab, but it wasn't a big deal.

We just used them to ship 6 to the FCA meet from Long Island. They were absolutely outstanding.

Yes they were and I was very nervous about them loading and unloading my 458 without me being there. True professionals

They're highly rated here. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Where is the car located? If it's still on US plates, that's a piece of cake.

Yes, it is US registered, currently at Ferrari Quebec. The transmission failed while I was driving to the FCA event.

Sorry to hear that. In that case, there shouldn't really be much customs involvement at all.
It may be easier (and cheaper) for you to arrange it to be delivered to the border (Standstead or Philipsburg), bring it across yourself, and then get a local tow from there. I'll be a couple of hours from Montreal next week--let me know if I can help.

Unfortunately the transmission defaults to neutral and won't go into 1st gear, so it would have to be pushed. My best bet is to just have it transported back here. I do appreciate your offer though.
