I am looking at a car there. Any positive or negative experienes would be appreciated.
A friend of mine bought a Mercedes there. He did some amazing negotiations with them, wound up getting a new set of tires for his other car if he bought the one from them.
is this on addison road? I spoke with the owner once who had a red/tan 355B on the lot. talked about the poker run, but not prices.
Its a privately owned dealer, not a part of a franchise. They buy wholesale cars from auctions so I've heard. I haven't done business with them but I was looking at a BMW M5 they had once & I noticed obvious paintwork on the fender & the salesman denied any work done on the car.
Yes, they are the ones on Addison. I think I will probably avoid based on lack of positive feedback. What about Boardwalk? When I spoke to someone at Ferrari of Houston, they implied some not so good things about them.
LOL, that would be funny. Considering Boardwalk bought the dealership from FoH (basically, same owner).
Having effectively worked for or with both Ferrari of Houston and Boardwalk, I will say you are safe with either store. FoH is run by a man with true passion for these cars, and it is a unique experience just to purchase a car from them. Boardwalk is newer, and is still getting their thing together, but they are dedicated to great customer service, and have been very particular about the cars they'll take in, so rest assured their inventory is nice. (Rob, don't read this next part. I haven't officially started advertising yet) If you have any interest in leasing, please let me know. I now call on both stores, and have a good relationship with them. Also, I can handle leases out of state which may help simplify your transaction. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. [email protected]
I bought my 355 Spider from them on an E-bay auction from them and everything went smoothly. I had not even heard of f/chat at that time and didn't do a PPI which I am probably paying the price for now with a valve guide replacement at Norwood. The deal went fine, and I traded a '90 911 cabrio in on it at a fair price. I had heard from several auto broker friends to really watch out for Bent Tree as they had heard or experienced many problems with the owner in the past. With this in mind, I moved carefully, and am still happy with the deal I got.
Back to the Bent Tree question, sorry I saw this one a little late. I bought a 740IL from them 2 years ago. The car was extemely clean and mechanically has worked out well. I wouldnt hesitate to look at another car from them but I would recommend a PPI if you were buying from them or any other wholesale dealer. I bought a Ferrari from Gary Seale at Lambo Dallas a few years ago. Great car. I would Call Jonathan over there.
