    Wifey and I are going down to our condo in Rio for holidays next week and I was wondering if anyone is going to be around for Carnival or whatever.....maybe we could hook up for some caiparinha's....Darth you goin ?

    Given the amount of guys here with Brasilian wives (what have we got....10 or so ?) I figure the odds are pretty good. Post here if you're going to be in Rio.

    We have a trip planned for elsewhere during that time, plus, her mother in town until the 10th.

    I'm not bullish on this one but you should still try Oasis! ;)

    I have a trip to MG coming up, then over to Chile then Peru. I wanted to toss in a visit to Easter Island too. But I dont think I will have it all planned out for atleast a Month and it also depends on the workload from the Rampage events coming up.

    It would be fun to plan a trip to Manaus. Its only 5 hours from Florida. We can catch Parana and Jacare!

    I'd have to look at the calender, but I think I get there on the Thursday before carnival and leave tuesday of the next week.

    Let me know, the red head is coming with me so, no Brazilian hookers for me.

    We're staying at the marriot, I forgot the name, but damn it was hard to get a room.

    I want to go to Rio for the carnival next year. Got any tips? Is it really that dangerous? What is the best place to pull some ladies? (preferably ones without a surptise 10 inch salami in the pants.)

    We live 4 blocks inland from Posto 4 on Copacabana beach.......Minas is great.....the food there absolutley rules !!!!

    My wife will not let me go to Rio alone as she was born there.......that speaks volumes.......doesn't it ? ROTFLMAO............!!!

    I live about a 5 minute walk from the Marriot, so if you wanted to hook up for a drink or two next door to your hotel (on the right hand side as you exit) is an outdoor bar/restaurant called "La Maison".........I'll be around from FEB 1-16.........maybe a week longer as the Rolling Stones are doing a free concert at the beach on the 18th........you can PM me here with your contact information and I'll return mine via PM if you want.

    Rio is safe..........more or less.............just practice the same common sense that you would use in any city with 12 million people in the 3rd world and you'll be fine. As to things specific to the city and what have you I can certainly answer that to some extent by presenting the attached links..........

    Well I am going for sure then. Might even take part in the carnival as I was a semi pro dancer when I was young (several gold medals to my name, Samba Tango the works.)
