    Returning to a great villa near Castlefiorintino and Montaione June 11-18th with my kids and 2 other families, and curious if any fellow Tifosi live near there. Would love to hook up and see any local cars of interest. Doing the factory tour on Monday morning of that week. Also, do you know of any reputable Ferrari or other fun car rental firms in the area?

    Man you are just going to miss the best F-CHAT Tuscany trip ever (26 June - 2 July).

    Anyway, if you want to rent fun cars in Italy there are several small agencies but they charge an absolute fortune, have limited mileage, huge excess in case of damage & theft (at least 10,000$) and require a 50,000$ credit card deposit.

    One other possibility exists: EUROPCAR rentals have available a small number of Maserati Coupe Cambiocorsa and 3200GT's. They are not cheap but they give you unlimited mileage and full insurance coverage. The cars are few, so you have to call them (do you speak Italian?) and specify that you want a Maserati, where & when. This way they'll deliver the car for you at your collecting station of choice (usually airports).

    These cars are not shown on the internet, you really have to call Europcar Italy to book them.

    Sounds like you guys are going to have a great week of car heaven. Sam Gimiano is just 25km south of where we stay. Try it sometime, Villa Cerretello at Santo Stephano. As far as rentals, I guess I will just have to learn the proper drift lines with my 9 passenger Fiat Ducato window van. In Florence, we have to pull in the mirrors to get down the narrow streets.
