Any Ferrari events in upstate NY?

    I plan on taking the Modena on the new high speed ferry that will be running between Toronto & Rochester,NY this summer and wonder if there will be any Ferrari related events occuring in the upstate New York area that I could attend. Anyone?

    Try the Watkins Glen website. They are a racetrack near Ithaca NY, and they should be having something every weekend.

    This is in Northeastern NY, but the Saratoga Auto Museum in Saratoga Springs, NY is planning a Ferrari lawn show in July. The last I spoke with the events planner, the tentative date was around 7/17.

    There is typically a Ferrari event put together in coordination with an event at the Warplane Museum in Elmira and in the past Corning Glass that then also includes a Ferrari track day at the Glen. I am located near Ithaca and have attended this once in the past. It was a good time and there was a reasonable amount of security provided by the sponsors. I'll see if I can locate contact information for the organizer. Yikes! This is your lucky day, I went right to it. See below.

    I have had a pretty good time there in the past. Last year I missed it due to a racing conflict on that weekend.

    The Ferrari Challenge, I guess it's called "Ferrari Racing Days" now, will be held at Lime Rock Park, CT in July 9-10.

    i predict that the fast ferry will go bankrupt within the first 5 years.

    anyway... if you can't find any ferrari's to hang out with in rochester.. there are a few nsx's who will welcome you.

    Thanks much to everyone for their replies - I love visiting upstate NY and the Ferry lets me take the Modena there without putting too much mileage on it. My only worry is having my Modena packed in like a sardine with other cars. Maybe if I grease the captain's palm ;)....

    I'd like to stay at a nice bed & breakfast but am also leary about leaving the car outside all night, although I find rural areas usually "seem" pretty safe.

    If anyone knows any bed & breakfast around the Watkins Glen area that they were impressed by, please let me know.

    nsxnick - I think you are right about the ferry (unfortunately).

    Will be an event at the Glen memorial day weekend. Check the FCA site for more info, or on the tri-state section here. Typ. there is a Ferrari event there memorial & labor day weekends. Also trackmasters and SCCA have events there. In addition to the bed & breakfasts, there is Geneva on the Lake, as well as a fairly new Ramada Inn on the north end of Seneca Lake in Geneva.
