    I can't wait to see the photos from Geneva. The show opens tomorrow, Feb 28. I am hoping that some FChat participant has press passes and posts photos today.

    RELAX!! The show does NOT open tomorrow. Tomorrow Tuesday 28 February 2006 is the press/media day only. Officially the show opens Thursday 1st March 2006.
    I will be at tomorrow's press day. The official Ferrari press conference with the 599 GTB introduction takes place tomorrow Tuesday 28 February 2006 at 5 p.m. (11 a.m. Florida time, when hopefully the covers will be taken off)

    Marcel, what´s your expert view upon the 599 so far? I mean in terms of looks and specs. Is it a genuine Ferrari in these departments?

    Yup, from this angle it looks nice and sleek again. Makes the 550/575 look dated.

    At least one of the 599's on the stand had wheels that resemble the Challene wheels.

    Dont know about you guys but I think the star-shaped wheels are revolting, i mean how much thought has gone into those?

    The CS type wheels are much nicer and compliment the car a lot better

    at first yes, but now when i look them on dark colors they looks nice
    effectively, thisothers pics "fiorano" they looks much better.

    i see some C5 Z06 (FRC) elements in this car... if it werent for the pseudo c-pillar... thats exactly what i see.

    now that we have some real pictures, im actually really liking this car... its quite far from where the 612 scaglietti was stylistically IMO... where the previous media pics didn't look that independant of it.

    long live the 599 GTB :)

    Can you specify?

    I see the "opening-thing" behind the front wheel, but i think that is a coincidence that it looks a bit like the Z06 - I see it as an "extension" to the little "break" in the line below the side window... If you know what I mean...

    There was a total of four 599 GTBs at Geneva today (press day). On the Pininfarina stand a rosso corsa one. On the Ferrari stand three 599 GTBs: a Rosso Monza (dark metallic red) one, a black metallic one and a gunmetal grey one. Here are some pix:

    one amazing car, a family friend who i have talked about before who already has a 512M (For Sale) and an F50 has just placed his order for a 599, when he told me i looked at pics online, but they were just library photos. Now i have seen the real thing in the pics it is stunning!!!

    The new car is drop dead gorgeous but not in red. It has to be a darker color such as gunmetal grey or dark red metallic or deep blue.

    My girlfriend just decided she hates it. And not only that, apperantly the suitcase-set (or whatever you want to call it) doesn't contain a beautycase. So I'm cancelling my order :(
