Is it possible to get a spec of around $350k for close to $300? Didn't somebody recently post they got theirs for like... sticker $357k and they got it for $310 or less?

Don't remember the precise numbers, but I do remember it being a 12% discount.

I think you would be surprised what discount you can get on a new car.

In the UK that may be true. In the US, seems like most FF's are now customer ordered and ergo going out at MSRP.

Demo models are being sold at MSRP, or at some discount based on miles. There were some seriously steep discounts on early demo FF's as they were richly optioned. I am sure some dealers made great deals to get their older demos on the street. I almost bought an early demo; was offered an incredible deal but we ended up ordering a 2013.

I know Ferrari Financial Services had offered some enhanced lease/buy programs as well, unsure if they are still offered.

Used or demo FF's are the best bet for "discounts", if any. Unsure what the supply in the market is...

(I was at the dealer today and we actually discussed this...)

Yes, but don't ask me to name the dealer, I don't want to ruffle feathers.

I picked up a 2012 FF Neiman Marcus edition with 258 miles back in July for below list. Basically the car was delivered to original owner who sold back to Ferrari after 2 months and car ended up at dealership in Florida. Retail MSRP for the NM configuration was $400K (fully optioned) and asking price at resale was 10% below list for that configuration. So deals are available if you're not particular on color combo, etc.

John -- did you buy a new car that was in inventory, or was your purchase a custom order?

Atelier inventory, delivered five weeks prior. Delivery miles only, not a demo car.

It was, coincidentally, specced to almost my exact taste. Still a good deal IMHO.

I hear 10% off for built-to-order. This is continental EU.

Interesting given Q3 sales are pretty good for the FF.

Given rough economic conditions in different regions, and the "controversial" aspects of the FF, it's likely that Ferrari and dealers are doing some creative things to continue to create demand.

In North America, for 2013 they bundled what used to be paid-for options in 2012 into the base price, which stayed the same year over year. In our case, our effective purchase price (paying MSRP) went down 10+% given our spec.

John, what is "Atelier" inventory? new term to me, sounds like "dealer stock" which is rare (i.e. unheard of) here in the US. Congrats on the car, you will love it.

Same base option changes in the UK too on my MY13 model. Can't be kind to highly optioned MY12 used stock prices.

Dealer stock is close enough, brand new car in any event.

If you can afford an FF just buy the darn thing. It is such a powerful, wonderful car (if you actually drive it) you simply can not go wrong! 3,200 miles in mine after about six weeks!

Well, running costs will not be as bad as they used to be, right?
With their new 7 year maintenance program, you are just exposed to the fuel bills :)

I added two-year warranty extension (year 4/5 power cube warranty) shortly after purchase since the 7-year oil change is tip of the iceberg on operational costs. In my mind the 'no-cost' stuff (being done by a lot of manufacturers) is just marketing. They've figured out costs and you're 'paying' offsetting amount in MSRP when you drive-off with the car at original sale. If you had issue after basic 3-year warranty on FF, prices for 'unexpected' powertrain work might still make you cry (hence the power cube extended coverage for my peace of mind).
