I just got one, and it seems cooler than all hell. It's so in-depth, I was wondering if anyone has any favorite apps for it.

I was considering getting one. How is it? How are the emulators in it? Do they sound good or is it like the other emulators out there..too muddy on some and too bright on others.

I've barely begun to scratch the surface with mine (the XT), and so far it seems pretty awesome. The variety of sounds is infinite. I'm not sure how familiar you are with it, but it comes with 64 pre-programmed sounds which serve more as baselines than anything so that you can use it right out of the box without having to master it first. You can tweak these if you like, or create your own. It comes with coputer software that allows you to work on-screen with an expanded selection of models. Plus, you can download updates and other users' tones to your computer and/or Pod. Overall, the tones sound pretty damn good. Most are named after a song they model (Cliffs of Dover, Money for Nothing). It's one of these types of devices where it seems that the more you learn, the less you know. Make sense? It's got settings for different room layouts, mike locations, etc. And it sounds great through headphones, too. It's worth checking out--the guys at the Guitar Center seem to enjoy demo-ing it.
