any "House" (TV) fans?

don't like it near as much as last year. I think the writing was MUCH better last year. The episodes this year are too contrived...anyone else?

 

Dead on. They're trying to turn it into Melrose Place, and it is getting very contrived. Especially this new thing where Foreman, one of the Fellows, becomes House's boss.

But I loved old stuff. Hilarious!

I fear House will go the way of Scrubs. Very funny at first (though they ripped most of their stuff off from Sam Shem's "House of God"), but became some sappy melodrama by the end.



Dr. Gregory House: You think it's going to come out on its own? Are we talking bigger than a breadbasket? 'Cause actually, it will come out on its own, which for small stuff is no problem: it's wrapped up in a nice soft package and plop. Big stuff? You're gonna rip something, which, speaking medically, is when the fun stops.
Young Man: How did you...?
Dr. Gregory House: You've been here for half an hour and you haven't sat down; that tells me its location. You haven't told me what it is; that tells me it's humiliating. You have a little birdie carved under your arm; that tells me you have a high tolerance for humiliation, so I figure it's not hemarrhoids. I've been a doctor twenty years, you're not going to surprise me.
Young Man: It's an MP3 player.
Dr. Gregory House: Is it... is it because of the size, the shape, or is it the pounding bass line?

 

EXACTLY! that’s was so patently RIDICULOUS: if there was a prob, House's immediate supervisor would look over his shoulder, NOT a subordinate. Where in the hell did they get that idea?

I've got other examples of the ridiculous from this season-
-Stacy being a part of the show AT ALL
-breaking into the shrink’s office to read Stacy’s file
-House going to Stacy’s home
-the Cameron and Chase hook up

It’s like they’ve run out of ideas and are reaching------

 

I think you hit the nail on the head. They suddenly realized "wow... we can't just keep giving people weird diseases and having the hospital misdiagnose them" and now are pulling out old "St. Elsewhere" scripts.

Agree but I still find it mostly amusing. He does a great American accent for a british comedian.

One of my favourite shows right now. I'd much rather watch this than watch people trying to race each other around the world or eat strange insects and other unrecognizable foodstuffs to win a little money.

 

Well put and dead on. I never miss the show.

 

Great show--watch Bones before that---cause the girl --Bones is balls ass hot!!!!!!!!!!!!
