    Found this next to the ash-tray. My car had quite a few usefull (and not so usefull) upgrades, not sure whether this is a stock accessory or something I can remove.

    Just commenting my own post: this seems to be fiber optic, connecter to a bulb, so the idea is to iluminate something that is more less 15cm away from the ashtray. Not the ashtray as I already have a bulb for it. Could be for the gear shift? Anyone has some light on the gear shift indicator?

    Hi raemin,

    Yes, it is for the gear selector and there is a small plastic holder attached to the gear selector that is supposed to lite up under the selected gear position. Pretty tatty solution but actually works on mine.
