Anyone have an idea why I have to enter my username and password every single time I log on to fchat? I am allowing cookies of all kinds. I have a firewall, zonealarm security suite, but I am allowing cookies in that too.

    Thoughts?

I've got a similar issue. I have to enter my user name and password for Fchat, my email, and another forum every time I turn off my computer, but not if I leave the computer on and just log out. It didn't use to be that way. It started a couple of months ago. I'm allowing cookies also.

Go into the preferences of your browser, locate the cookies, and manually delete the ones specific to ferrarichat. You will need to log into www.ferrarichat.com and ferrarichat.com.

I deleted all of the cookies related to fchat but I still have to use my username and password every time. Checking "remember me" doesn't do it.

I'll look again to make certain that I didn't miss one of the fchat cookies.

I'm using Mozilla 1.7.13 as my browser and for e-mail and I'm using Zone Alarm Security Suite 7.0.337.000.

    Does that help?

Have you tried using Firefox ?

Also, have you tried disabling your Zone Alarm just to see if that's causing a problem. Could it be it's deleting cookies whenever you close yoru browser?

Every time that I log onto fchat I check the "remember me" box. And, every time I come back, I have to log on again. It's really a PITA.

I just shut off Zone Alarm's security suite completely and, no difference. Every time I log on to fchat I have to log in again. What a PITA!

I also checked all of the switches in Mozilla that I know about and cookies are allowed.

I plan to switch over to Firefox, just have not had the time to do it. My son says that Firefox is better than Mozilla so I will be trying that in a day or two.

Running Firefox 2.0.0.5, same problem. Didn't used to be like that until a few weeks ago. Haven't had time to investigate, but feel your pain FWIW...

It was a switch in my Zone Alarm Security Suite. As soon as I changed it, fchat works fine now.

What a PITA these computers can be!
