    Good evening gents,

Back in July of 1999, I had purchased a BBR model of a Ferrari 550 that was used for their World Speed Record setting from Exoticar. The series was limited to 50 pieces and I was lucky enough to snag #2 of the 50. Any how, I have not been able to find any information regarding this model and would like to know more about what I have on my hands. Was this particular model made specifically for Exoticar? It seems as though this model is not just a BBR model of a Maranello with decals added to it, there is a fuel door on the trunk lid and the roof-mounted antenna that have been added to the model that the record-setting car did have. Below are some pictures of the model. Again, any info regarding this model would be appreciated. Have a good evening gents!

BBR made several small limited editions and a kit of this car.
Factorybuilt versions are rare (QR 18), kits are made in larger numbers.
Don't know about an exoticar limited edition.
Nowadays, any dealer can order limited editions from a certain car.

Thanks for the info! If I understand correctly, there were two different series built of this car, one in a quantity of 25 cars and the other of 50 cars?

I just listed my mint-in-box World Speed Record 550 Maranello on ebay.
I don't know how to link it, but the item number is 150357432376.
