I was hoping to find anyone in the greater Jacksonville area that might have more insight on this car: https://www.worldimportsusa.com/certified/Ferrari/1993-Ferrari-348-jacksonville-florida-74a209ee0a0e0a9362c3b66eef70759a.htm

I've emailed the dealer, but I only get back the generic "it's in good condition". Although the pics support the simple response, something seems off. First, the price seems a bit "too good to be true". Second, "just arrived from Europe". Third, let's just say the dealer doesn't exactly have stellar reviews. Any insight would be appreciated.

We discussed it briefly in another thread. It’s legitimately from Europe — Italy I think — but other than that it was only speculation.

I will say: when I called the dealer about it weeks ago the salesman said there had been lots of interest and I needed to act fast. Typical BS.

The dealership has overall very good Google reviews. The car looks very nice! Make that, exceptional! The price doesn't seem out of line. I understand, what's missing here?... :)

Thanks, I'll poke around for that thread as well. And yes, very "used car salesman". I know someone else posted that they had good google reviews, but the reality is anyone in Jacksonville that's dealt with them will tell you they are the poster child for "not a great car purchasing experience". I'll leave it at that...

Well they are "Used Car Salesmen", which says everything you need to know. Nothing that cannot be completely documented or proven, should NOT be trusted.
Watch "Used Cars" with Kurt Russel to see just how unprofessional they can be.....

The AC ECU (AC control panel) appears to be dead. Perhaps you can ask them about it. A new unit is priced at $7.7 k at Ricambi and GBP 4.7 k at Eurospares. The panel seems to be NLA actually but you can use this level of pricing for bargaining if you decide to buy the car (and if the panel is really bad).

These are NLA as new/factory original. They are usually repairable --- open it up and carefully clean the connections on the ribbon cable and pins between the to primary circuit boards. Further, clean the pins on the harness connection at the very back of the unit (where it plugs into the car's harness) and ensure it 'snaps' into place securely.

p.s. If you find a USA or Euro one on eBay and need to change the readings from F to C, there's a simple jumper block inside the unit that gets removed (or installed) to change the measurement scale.

    Carlos,
I inquired about the car as well and had to stay the course to get through the boilerplate dealer communication. From what I've learned, the car came from Switzerland and has had 4 owners. I was able to get the dealer to provide a startup video and a link to the invoices provided by the PO (which are all in French and shows a 2018 belt service and replacement of the cam seals and clutch). Why these aren't in the ad I don't know, but it's not my dealership, so...
I was hoping for shots of the import docs, but I didn't pursue the car further because (1) I have a TB that I would have to sell first and (2) they were not interested in a trade. My better half thinks I'm nuts for letting go of a Grigio/Red TB for Red/Tan example but what can I say.

I am traveling and have the records on my home computer that I'm happy to share if your so inclined. By all accounts it looks like a very nice car.

PS- The person I talked to indicated that all interior electrics (including the A/C) are functional.

Appreciate the intel, thanks. I'm actually looking at a couple of other cars but may follow-up on this one if it's still around.
