It was nice to meet you Jonathan, Eric, Marcus, Don, Chad and Peter. A few of us shot over to Route 66 for breakfast. We even had a nice section of the lot all to ourselves.
It definitely can accommodate a lot of cars. And I'm sure if we were there early enough we'd have no issues parking in a group.
2nd Saturday of the month. 8:00 - 10:00 am. Maybe an "unofficial: drive afterwards for lunch. We have been meeting at a commercial building at 18500 Via Princessa, right off the 14 freeway and across the street from Costco since the property owner was so cooperative. Not a lot of public visibility at that location so some are checking around to see if they can find an alternative location. The next gathering should be on Saturday, June 13th. Stay tuned for a confirmation on the location.
Thanks Peter and everyone else for your patience. I am awaiting a reply from the management of Route 66.. We can always fall back to the Via Princessa location as the property owner is very very cooperative.
Personally I really like Peter's location, it's way more personal and relaxing than something like Super Car Sunday. Nice to have the variation.
Deal all Couple of us will be scouting Route 66 bar/restaurant today at around 5:30pm. Its on Soleded Canyon Rd in SCV. If anyone wishes to come by and join us for a beer, first one is on me.
So here it is. A new location to try out. We can always make changes as we go forward. Basically we all want a venue that can attract most, if not all F cars from SCV and its surroundings. I want to disclose that I have no affiliation whatsoever with Route 66. No personal agendas. Saturday June 13th. 8-10am. Route 66 18730 Soledad Canyon Rd, Canyon Country, CA 91351 Cross Streets: Between Luther Dr and Vilna Ave (661) 298-1494 route66classicgrill.com Thanks all for supporting SCV C&C. Personally, I would love to see some Porsches and Maseratis of SCV. PS- Peter. Thx for your kind PM.
This location is more centrally located in an area with more traffic. Its worth trying to see if it attracts more participants. We'd like to give this spot a try early on before things get too established so we can set something up long term. We'll give this a try and make a group decision on what works better long term. See you all on the 13th.
What Peter said. We are not married to the place. I live in SCV and wish to see SCV C&C become a regular thing. Doesnt matter which location for as long as it sticks for a long run.
Thanks for your efforts Jonathan. Sorry I'll miss this one but I'll spread the word and see you guys in July.
All: The FCA SW update calendar came out and it still lists the location on Via Princessa for the June 13th meet. Everyone please remember that on June 13th we are meeting at Route 66 on Soledad Canyon Road to try that location out. I sent a message to Anna with FCA in hopes that when they send the calendar out again next week they can revise the location.
Bumping the thread. We are trying out a new location this Saturday. Route 66 Parking lot on Soledad Canyon in Canyon Country. Join us from 8:00 - 10:00 am.
