It's a great tool for racers to keep sharp when they're not racing. Does anyone on here race on it often? I've been at it for a few months and I've got my Class D license is both oval and road racing.

Shoot me a friend request! KieranRoberts2

Yes, I primarily use it as a tool to prepare to race at a new track and used it successfully to learn Road Atlanta and Laguna Seca last year.

Don't recall which licence I have. I'll find you when I'm back on in January or February.

I run in a few private leagues (the RennList one is very good, found myself racing with two-time LeMans winner Darren Turner at Mid-Ohio), but mostly test and use it to help train clients.

I've been on iracing since last April. I have my class A license for road and oval. This season I am racing the Formula Mazda, the NASCAR B and the Mustang in the Grand Am series. Lots and lots of fun!

I had it for about 1 day and ditched it after I downloaded the VIR track. For me it was doing more harm than good, it isn't even close to driving a car and even further away from driving a good car. Using it with the Logitech G27 wheel (for sale with about 4 hours use).

It was a game for me. I'm going to replace it with a membership to VIR this year.

I joined a few weeks ago, slowly working on my license. so far it's a ton of fun! although I enjoy playing with the big cars/tracks more than driving the Miata to advance through the ranks in races. eventually I'll work my way up :)

I've added a few or you (b-mak, procoach, kieran), anyone who wants can add me to your "friends" list (my name is Chas Lawrence)

IS it true that users can get motion sickness from the 3 screens? any way around that? not sure it this was covered already.

Approximately %3-5 of the population suffers from a form of simulation rejection (manifested in mild motion sickness). This is actually very mild and usually subsides if the subject simply does something else for about an hour or so and comes back to try again.

    yes (covered above by Chris)

I think it's largely a depth perception issue. I've never gotten motion sickness using the sim (probably have 20+ hours on it now), but I'm nearsighted and find it easier to use the sim without my glasses (whereas I have to drive with glasses). If I use the sim w/ my glasses on I can get eyestrain pretty quickly.

a few hundred laps yesterday on a short track in a legends car made me a bit loopy, however :)

I replied in your new thread but the questions would have been fine here, if you want the mods to merge the two threads.
