Quick trivia question: Who was the manufacturer of the boat that made the famous record jump in "Live and Let Die"? (and no "Googling" please...)

I actually think the best theme song was Nancy Sinatra singing the title song to "you only live twice". There's something about the melody that you just can't get out of your brain. Watching Bond escape with the pretty Japanese girl in the Toyota sports car is also great for auto buffs.

Diamonds are forever has one of the great continuity "screw ups" in movie history. Everyone remembers that Bond puts his Mustang on two wheels to escape from the police in a narrow tunnel. When he goes into the tunnel, he's on the two right wheels. You even see him and the girl lean in that direction. But, as he leaves the tunnel, the car is on the two left wheels.

How about this one for a screw up: In You Only Live Twice there is one of the biggest Bond screw ups of all: Mixing up the "shaken, not stirred" reference. When offered a vodka martini by the mysterious "Mr. Henderson" who says "that's stirred, not shaken -- correct?"

Has anybody but me noticed that they used the same bit actors in movie after movie in different roles... for years? Cubby Brocolli must have had a soft spot for his friends.

BTW: Mr. Brocolli was also a Ferrari owner.

Well, since this is an old thread and he wasn't mentioned, I think Daniel Craig is the best Bond. Too me he plays Bond more like the book character. My second is Sean Connery. IMHO.

But, wouldn't this be a interesting movie? Quentin Tarantino directing Rupert Everett in Bond, Gay Bond? :D

I watched License to Kill last night although I missed the first two minutes it wasn't bad. I have to say I think Timothy Dalton was better than Roger Moore. The worst James bond was Roger Moore sorry I am not a big enough fan to know the names of the movies but the worst James Bond was with Roger and they featured Aerican Motors cars, the one where the car entered the 4 foot wide alley on the left two wheels and exited on the right two wheels. I guess that must have been live and let die?

We watched Licence to Kill last night. About halfway through (just when it was getting good) my wife left and said, "Timothy Dalton is a sissy. Let's go to bed."

So we did. Life is good. ;)

James Bond fan here! I have all the movies on my external hard drive, and love them...

I might get around to reading all the books though...

Well worth it. the books are much better IMVHO. Lots more detail. Some are completely different than the book (the Spy Who Loved Me, A View to a Kill).

The local library here has them all. Casino Royale is first. I am reading them in order.
