It's item number 220209440424. It looks to be on its third auction in the past month or so...not meeting reserve each time.

Buy it now price of $23.5K doesn't seem too unrealistic for a negotiated purchase if the PPI checks out. Appparently no-one could strike a deal for it last September when Michael Sheehan listed it for sale at $22,500. Interestingly, he said that there was no service history at that time, now the current seller says there is an extensive service file on the car.

Glad to hear tha the (fiberglass) floors and trunk floor don't have any rust!

Ignition module has been replaced with MSD, not an unusual substitution for the finicky and sensitive original ignition box.

Check out the problems with the leather in the dash, the a/c and then the usual inspection items, especially the rear suspension.

This would be a car that must be inspected in person and must have a thorough PPI by someone who knows these cars before a judgment as to its value can be made. As it looks now, it appears to be a very average car, not great, but not bad either. The proof will be in the inspection.

    Hi All,

I am looking for a straight used front bumper guard for an 84 400i. Anyone know of one available? I am currently in negotiations for #44699, does anyone know this car?

By the way, I just saw Rod Stewart's Straman for sale online in Orange County, I forgot where, I'll try to dig into my history and send the link.

    Thanks

I wonder if it still has the hand controls??? The ones I use in my 928's are moveable...I take them from car to car. Basically they are aluminum rods w/ handles on one end and spring loaded jaws to grip the peddles on the other end. Very easy to deal with and require nothing to be done to the car itself! I use different handcontrols in my company car and race car that are better but require slight mods to the under steering wheel area of the car they are installed in and they are not all that easy to remove.
