Any known SF90 Spider production delays?

My dealer said their SF90 Spider allocations has slowed way down. Not even providing a guess when my car will be made (12/21 deposit).

 

I am told status 20 ….. whatever that means

I think that means assembly has begun. Congrats!

 

Mine was painted few weeks ago - recall on all SF90's, turbo line but ours will avoid and corrected.
App shows on wait list should have it b4 year end.

 

Does anyone know if there is a delay in new production of SF90 Spiders due to recall Thanks Sandy

 

Mine went to Status 90 October 11. Anyone have a digital manual to share as I wait?

We have twins.
Received this picture - called dealer stating at Port awaiting pick up - day later placed on boat last week. Est. 60 days - 2024 VIN

You are right very similar! Approximately what date was it put on a boat? Also where will the car end up…. Need to know if I should warn my wife that the White SF90 Spider her friends saw with the hot female passage was not me.

 

I was States 40 around September 1 and Status 90 40 days later.

 

I got my completed car factory picture around Sept. 15. SA told me today that the car arrived at the US port on Nov. 6. He thinks car will arrive 4 to 8 weeks from that date, but he isn’t accounting for the hold on all SF90s now at port, related to the recall. It isn’t clear to me if new parts are needed to fix the problem, or if existing parts can be reworked. If new parts are needed, I think that would extend the time.

 

The 3 year wait....

- 4/4/2021 Initial deposit and MODIS load
- 08/2022 "SF90 spider production has been almost non-existent thus far. 2023 production should start to see 'regular' production."
- crickets chirping in the background, all quiet
- 02/2023 Finalize the configuration, "Let's lock it down. Best information I have is that we will get one more SF90 Spider allocation for 2023 - which will be yours. Soonest Q3 production, latest Q4 production"
- 03/2023 "OK, we Received 1 allocation for July. It might make delivery while your out of country in October, so do you want it or wait for next allocation?"
- 03/2023 yes, I want it. Incremental final deposit made. All locked in on final configuration. Added Purasangue deposit for good measure.
- 05/2023 "It's currently showing 10G status. All-in and accepted. Factory is getting materials and planning." no committed production date.
- 07/2023 "Nothing so far, 10G status" (Not sure what happened to 'July')
- 11/2023 "VIN assigned, status 10R"
- 11/2023 "Build in November/December" then transport to New Jersey. Then transport to dealership. Delivery Feb/Mar 2024
- 11/15/2023 "completed stage 20, now at 30"
- 11/22/2023 "finished paint, now in assembly (stage 40)"
- 11/29/2023 My first production picture pops on MyFerrari with email notification

30 minutes after I posted this I got a message from the dealer: "
It’s “70” now – which means testing. It’s BUILT!!

i am at stage 20 I ordered my Spider in March 2021 so i am looking at about 3 years exactly according to my dealer. Sandy

Yes, VIN is assigned almost the same time it goes 10R. They assign the VIN immediately on start of production according to my dealer. I have a VIN.

Latest update from dealer…no closer to delivery. I’m stuck at status 70 = testing/built. Their update:

MODIS is still showing “stage 70” = testing. This means assembly is complete. This has been our same status since prior to the holidays - which is likely due to factory & logistics being idle for the holidays.
Typically we see status transition from 70 to 90, without a stop in 85 status (warehouse).
It’s a bit too early to know for sure, but once we go 90 status it’s usually 45-60 days to arrive in NJ and clear Customs then trucking to dealer

I now suspect sometime in April, completing the 3years from deposit to delivery. Pretty frustrating and not at all like the 12-24 months on my prior cars.

 

Same with me. This is by far the longest to receive a new car. Rumors are a SF90 successor will be announced later this year. I don’t know if I will hold onto this car if it is takes until next year for delivery

 

I suppose then the question becomes, how soon can you purchase the successor? That might take three years from announcement, so you would be without a SF90 type car for 3 more years. That is a problem I have with most Ferrari new car announcements. By the time I would get mine after the initial announcement, I will be too old. Unfortunately for me my horizon is shrinking!
