You know, I'd LOVE to do something on Labor Day. Obviously, I'm pretty limited in the amount of time I can get these days -- maybe a quick run up NC8/89 for a few hours?
sorry had to go valet a ferrari yeeeeeehaaaa I'm still trying to find out what all my wife has planned hahaha. I wouldn't mind driving, but what about meeting up in statesville(little closer to me) then Rob can show us some roads around there??
I would love to do some driving, but I am going to be in Virginia for the weekend. If you want to come all the way up there or meet along the Parkway somewhere that might be possible.
I'm looking for an excuse to drag the TR out. I'm in the Raleigh area, but don't mind schlepping over toward W-S or A'vlle area for a fun drive.
Peter, the CAFE guys/gals will probably do something this weekend. I have a buddy in town this weekend, and I'm sure he'd like to see some Ferraris too. We'll keep you in the loop if we get something worked out. It may just be a lunch or something. - Brian
I am canceling my weekend trip to Cashiers--gas is running out in Atlanta area and is at 4.99 in some areas
Over $4.00 in asheville and running out quickly!! This is insane! I'm driving like a granny now to conserve the stuff hahaha Guess this weekend is out for driving.
WHO NEEDS GAS??? MY FERRARI WILL RUN ON FRENCH-FRY GREESE....OKAY, MAYBE I WAS THINKING OF MY VW VAN..........................
brian, there seems no gas in cournelius at this time! we may not be getting together at all! i have a little gas in the boxer but i don't think enough to drive somewhere and get back. i guess we will have to play this by ear.
And to think I was complaining about $3.19 per gallon for high test in Statesville. Every gas station I passed on the way home was packed. I have not seen anything like that since 1975 right after I got my drivers license. Good thing I keep my cars topped off. I will be driving the 360 to Virginia. I may not get home, but I will have a good time along the way thinking about everybody. Have a happy Labor Day holiday.
I'll attend anything as long as it is not much more than 2 hours away from Raleigh. That's about my tolerance limit for day trips.
i couldn't even find any gas station that had gas today. all the soccer moms in greenville think the world is ending so they HAVE to fill up their SUV's. and of course i'm on empty so now i might not make it to school the rest of the week!
Well as of this morning several stations have gas again and the average price has dropped to $3.50ish. Guess the world isn't going to end after all!
...funny thing this AM as I passed 3 gas stations and each had a local police car setting out front with the officer out observing people...too funny. It reminds me of living in a 3rd world country. Steve
