I just got a 355 and it has a aftermarket radio. I do not use it but I like to replace it with a original. I would appreciate any leads.

275GTB posted a thread on 4/10/13 about an extra radio/cd unit that he had out of his 550. It looked to be the exact same OEM Sony unit as in my 355. Don't know if he still has it but you may what to check with him.

My recollection is some had a Sony cassette (XR-20 perhaps) - some had a Becker cassette (eg 4372) or later a cd (6104) - most of the ones on Ebay are silly money - I think the 550 may have had a slightly different model Sony (XR-21RDS) if you are being utterly precise - picture : http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/142236145-post1.html - its easier to plug an ipod lead into the Becker

I have the Sony tape deck, cd changer, and all 4 speakers from my old car sitting in a box at home. Someone else has dibs on them but if he doesn't want them I could send it your way.

Hi guys, Robin I just PM'd you that I don't need the stereo at this point.

The stock deck looks so much better than any aftermarkets I've seen!

Porsche Racer: Robin is a totally solid guy, and very much a pleasure to do business with.

Doh! If it doesn't work out for others, I will be next in line. I can pick them up in person as well.

I have the stock Sony Stereo with the Ferrari badge from my 1999 355. When I took it out last year, it worked perfectly and is in excellent condition.

I also have a spare F430 Becker Cascade radio. I was able to purchase two and installed one in my car. A few months ago, I had Car Toys check out and test the other spare radio... Everything works perfectly (I have the test results). The Becker (attached pics) has the navigation cd and security code card. I also have a modified 355->Becker stereo OEM connector modified to this Becker stereo - so you can just plug the unit into the connector adapter and it plugs right into the car (in place of the Sony stereo connector). 182025 RADIO CONNECTING CABLES -Valid… : Ricambi America. Plug & play with no wiring to deal with. In my opinion, this unit looks and sounds much better than the Sony OEM radio. Also, it is blue tooth compatible and has NAV capabilities.

I was thinking about putting both of these on eBay. Let me know if you are interested in purchasing either one. FYI... I think another Becker just sold on eBay for around $1500, without the connector.

I understand the desire to have the OEM radio. The 355 I just bought was advertised with the OEM radio. When I arrived it had a JVC in it. I emailed the dealer and told him I wanted the OEM. He explained that it was in the pictures because when he got the car it had an Alpine in the dash that didn't work and the Ferrari radio was the trunk. They put in in for pictures then replaced it with the JVC CD player as an up grade for me. He appologised for not sending it along woith the car and shipped it out UPS. Didn't say if the OEM radio worked ot not. It was never connected.

Hi there - a few folks have asked for some more pics. The first four are of the Cascade with the manual, CD, code card and OEM connectors. The next two are of the stock OEM Sony radio and connectors. PM or email me with any additional questions. Thx, Judd

Can you hook up a CD changer to a 1995 model? My car just has the cassette. I wouldn't mind getting a factory changer in my 95 if it was a plug and play. Thanks

I believe it is a Sony. It looks like the one in the pictures that Robin posted.

Wow, I can't believe all this recent interest in stock head units! Thanks again bcwawright
for selling me yours at such a fair price!! Mine is the Sony tape deck variety, love it for the simple fact I can put a tape adapter into my iphone (and the 90's look of course). That Becker unit looks a bit too modern to me for the 355, but I can see why some people would
    pay big money for it.

My car previously had an Alpine unit which was a clashing phony aluminum and had this crazy digital display, not to mention it sounded like crap compared to the stock Sony.
