    Rod,

If you can't find "a loner" I have seen threads where owners grind a socket to fit, if you do a search you shouild find more info. Alternatively you could have a machine shop make one - here are the sizes...............

    Inside diameter 38.50mm
    Outside diameter 44.50mm
    Length 200.00mm

Just for information the Ferrari tool (#95977783) costs over $300 !

    Hope this helps.

I've got one, be glad to loan it to you for the cost of shipping. I'm in Alaska, might be better if you found one closer to home. PM me if you're interested.

Try GT Car Parts in Phoenix--(623)780-2200. Even though you may never need it again, cough up the dough and buy it. No offense and nothing personal, but "loaning" or "borrowing" tools rarely (IMHO) works like it should. I, and many others, have been burned too many times to even consider it. The guys at GT have reasonable prices and good service and help us all keep our toys afloat!

I'm not into borrowing tools either, but with quotes between 300 and 500 for a tool im going to use once, i'd sooner take the hub to fow and get them to do it

Having the dealer do it may well be the cheapest way out.

BTW, the tool (AXLE NUT SOCKET-44mm Tool #FR106 ) is available from:
    http://tools.baumtools.com/index.jsp?index=2&newIndex=1&menu=ferr
You'll have to call them for a price tho.

I contacted Baum about their sockets, anywhere from $84-$130 each for the five sockets, about $500. While I thought that was quite high, I was more surprised that they only offer a one year warranty. I bought a good dremel took and brought home my bench grinder, and will attempt to fabricate my own sockets from impact sockets, as I beleive they are stronger material than a standard chrome socket. Anyone have thoughts on that? I know some have made sockets from pipe but that isnt very good socket material
