I'm having problems with my seat belts not retracting, (not the mouse) the actual seat belt recoiling into the housing. Is a total belt replacement necassary, or can i install new return springs?

Assuming you're talking 348 since you have the mouse. If it is the shoulder belt, I don't think they retract all the way up. Mine don't. It would be quite a reach if they did. They were intended to be left plugged into the mouse.

If you're talking lap belt, the mechanism is under the seat. I think in that case the dealer may repair for free. I might be wrong, but my understanding is in the US that the seat belts are warrantied for the life of the car by Fed law.

the belts on my 355 lock up all the time too. I know they're supposed to do that under certain conditions, but they tend to get stuck there and i have to take it off and let it reel itself back up and then put it back on just to get it unstuck. Kind of annoying...

I think dust / dirt gets up in there. I removed the covers and strategically sprayed some WD-40 into the moving parts and they now retract smoothly.
