    Seamus, would you care to explain why the US military as been using filtered nitrogen to inlfate tires since the mid 80's? Army Corp of Engineers did a study on this subject 30+- years ago, might be a good read for you.

    I haven't seen the study, but spent MANY years in the US Army, and was the manager, in Kuwait, of the largest Direct Support/General Support maintenance facility in the Middle East taking care of an entire brigade of vehicle plus support battalions, and I can only say that we NEVER used nitrogen to inflate the tires. Not once. Nor am I aware of any requirement for that.
