Still looking for a 360 as of now and still trying to sell my current car. Any board members here thinking about selling their 360? Most cars for sale are pretty far away and Id rather stick to cars within driving distance of me. Please contact me if your interested in selling

Also would like to add that I would love to trade my current car for your 360 and make up the difference in cash! Its a 1993.5 Toyota Supra Turbo extensively modified and making around 600 horsepower.

Your car is beautiful! However spiders do fall out of budget for me. Id like to stay in the 60-70k range.

StreamlineGT thanks for the info on that one. I already spoke to them about it, he offered it to me for 59,000 however its a euro model, silver ( awful resale! ) and will be due for a clutch among other things a PPI may reveal for a 12 year old car. I felt it was still a little high for that car.

I know the 360 at Lombardo Motorcars. If you want a 360 to enjoy, you can't beat the one Peter has for sale. If you are looking in the $60K to $70K in the New England market, it is going to tough to find a better car for the money.

Check out Black Horse Garage in Bridgeport. If you want a US Spec model, they have a red / tan coupe for $85K which is at market rate.

Yah I dont find anything particularly wrong with the car itself, but its at the low end of the totem pole in terms of resale and that's always my #1 factor in buying a car since I never keep cars more than a couple years. I think I would be much more inclined to buy it if I could have the car titled and registered for 60K or under. The math just doesn't add up in my head though. 59K + tax and title is almost 63K , then 3-5k for a clutch potentially puts me at almost 70K.

That red/tan car I did see, I am in love with by the way! Its pretty much the exact car I want, but Its out of my price range, and rightfully so!

I am trying to be patient with my searching, I don't want to rush into buying a car simply because I am getting too anxious.

So you're looking for a low mileage, fully maintained 360 for $65,000? Me too. Sounds like you should be looking at 355s.

    I never said that.

I am looking for a 360 for 60,000-70,000 dollars. I never said I needed service records, a clean carfax, or low mileage. I just want to buy a car thats in my budget, that the condition reflects the price. If it has accident history or spotty service records thats fine, as long as its priced accordingly.

If I find a car with no clutch / timing belt records, I expect to pay 5 grand less than market value, so i can spend that 5 grand on a clutch and timing belt when I buy it.

The $59k car does not meet your standards. The $85k car is perfect but is $20k too much. I'm not trying to put words in your mouth. I'm just reading your posts.

Correct. There is nothing wrong with turning down cars. I dont see why everyone is so upset that I dont want that car.

Tim, I don't think anyone is upset at all. In fact, I see them all trying to help. It appears you are looking for something that simply isn't available creating frustration trying to help. I expect that the 59K car would be just perfect if it a) had a new clutch b) was not euro spec and c) was red. The point people are trying to make, if that was true, it wouldn't be 59K. 360's in fair condition sell for around 70 to 75 and go up from there. Anything under 70 is going to have to be a 355 or a 360 that needs a whole lot of TLC$ that frankly you've said you can't afford. (don't mean to be condescending there).

Everybody, Please don't get in a bunch.

80 is a bit too high still. I know my car is out there, its just a matter of finding it! I've opened my search up to considering all F1 cars as well, at first I was dead set on a 3 pedal, but since I'm on a budget I think I have to open myself up to a larger number of cars.

Just a word of advice, I don't know how much experience you have with Ferraris but let me caution you in overlooking service history, records, etc.... To save some money. Do your homework and study service history on any cars you look at. What you save on up front will end up catching up to you at some point later on. Also, when you turn around and try to sell it down the line, most will not want to buy without having service history. So buy what you can afford but don't sacrifice quality just to get something of less quality or spotty service history just to get something that fits into your budget. I agree with the others, you should look at the 355 which is a gorgeous car!

355 isn't my cup of tea. Too dated looking, especially on the interior. Plus Id rather take in more, lower maintenance costs over time, then have to do an engine out service on a 355 plus incur other costs associated with an even older Ferrari. I'm confident I can find what I am looking for, I've seen them for sale and sold in the prices I want. Its just a matter of being patient. I will be waiting for the absolute best car my money can afford.

Honestly, on a completely different subject, I don't see how 360 ownership is any more costly than 355 ownership. ( Im speaking of lower priced 360's not 90-100k mint spiders etc.)That's a topic for a different thread though!

Own a wonderful 355. That said, the 360 is lower in cost to maintain. Neither is what I would term cheap!
With our own FSoB(Fluent in Ferrari) now equipped with an SD2 machine. Reasonable Quality service will be available to us modern Ferrari owners north of Boston!
    Pretty Supra!

I actually happen to probobly be in one of the most convenient spots for Ferrari ownership, I work literally a half mile away from IFS in Easton, then I always have FoNE within an hour drive as well.

Unfortunately I let a 2001 Rosso Corsa F1 360 slip through my grasps this past week for 65k. The owner had so much interest in the car it sold in a couple days, I didn't have the time to organize funding and travel for it :-\

What do you guys think is the market price for a '99 360 Euro with 6 sp manual? Could it be in the 50s anytime soon?

I was looking to get a 355 because I love the lines but it seems some of them are going up in price to the point where they intersect the 360 - in which case I'd get the newer design.

I agree, I have also seen 355 and 360 prices getting very close and sometimes crossing. I think those 355 "asking" prices that you see may not be very realistic though. I think I have seen one 360 advertised under 60K, and it was a 00 silver "drivers car" with dings and minor mechanical issues, stickies etc.

I wouldn't expect to find any turnkey 360 to be in the 50s (asking) for a long long time. Maybe the final agreed price can dip into the 50's but again, it wont be a perfect car.
