I've seen pictures here and there but i'm not sure if these are actually spy pics of the 612, some say no, some say yes. Is there any official word out on when the 575m is gng to be replaced? what year?

no OFFICIAL news as far as i know.

the 612 starts showing up shortly. figure the modena replacement a year after that. and then the maranello replacement a year after that (so fall 2006 as a 2007). i don't see them overlapping product introductions, but who knows.

though something relevant is happening at monterey next month regarding the maranello line.

There's no official info yet. They're not that far in the development yet. It's likely to be presented in 2005 with official production in 2006.

Must be imho a fake. The car has a german licence plate. Why should Ferrari test a new car in Germany?

Spider? Is that more than a rumor?

I've been telling my dealer that "I want it" since I first heard the rumors - whatever "it" is. I hope "it's" not the long awaited SUV ....

I'll be in Monterey, my sharp elbows keeping you away from whatever it is.

fyi - it's quite possible that it will be a behind-closed-doors event. i'm CERTAIN it'll get leaked to the media (by design, i imagine), but you may not be able to see it if you're just hangin' at the events.

Doody, you're crushing my spirit here. You're not going to tell me what it is, and you're not even going to let me see it in Monterey. What did I ever do to you, my fellow Maranello owner? ;)

All right, forget the sharp elbows: that'll be my nose pressed up against the window trying to see in, over the champagne bar, around the uniformed waiters delivering hors d'oeuvres, through the mass of VIPs and other important clients, past the stunning don't speak English but wouldn't talk to me anyway models, to the new whatchamacallit. Just don't tell me that the new new thing is going to be unveiled in a windowless room ....

Just fyi...those pics were floating around speculating what is now the 612. Not sure if that was an actual test car or not, but I remember seeing it. Nothing to do with the Maranello replacement as far as I know.

    ooh ooh...I think I know. ;)

will - i actually don't know what's being unveiled. in fact, i believe that very very few people know for absolute sure what's going to be the object of attention at this rumored shindig.

i simply may (or may not) be privy to some of the specifics about the rumored shindig - which knowledge is basically as useless as being privy to the name of the guy who polishes the briefcase that holds the nuclear codes ;)

    Because of the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
I'd expect them to run a mule there however, like all other car manufacturers do.
However, the car shown on the picture (http://www.wheels24.co.za/Images/Photos/20030516090906560-450.jpg) looks like a 4 seater ????

There is no official word yet, what people are telling you are just educated guess's. The 575 is not going to be replaced this soon, revisions are in order for the next few model years. People try to tell me they have spy shots of the 575 replacement when its really just 612 prototype testing. Stupid. Look for the 575 replacement to start showing up in the media say, 2005 or 2006. The car wont actually be replaced until like 2007 or 2008.

No, the "F139" the 575 M Maranello replacement is actually in testing and due for next year, i know that is hard to distinguish from the 612 Scaglietti "F137" cause the mules used for testing are based on the 612 with shorter wheelbase wider wheel arches, here some spyshots of the "F139".In the third photo appears in the front the code "F139" 612's code is "F137" so surely we have to do with the 575 M replacement, the F139 will have a 6lt V12 engine...not the 5.75lt V12 used from the current 575 M and the 612, with at least a 600hp output some talk for 630hp like the Maserati Mc12 stradale...also the approximate cylinder capacity (500cm3) is under consideration for the model that could be 500 combined with a name as all recent Ferraris...

    ALEXANDROS,

You got a point there. The proportions do look different than the 612 also.

Those headlights make it look like an oversized porsche. The 550/575 is a beautiful car, I don't much care for the 612 and this thing below.

Vincent these are just test-mules of F139 derived from 612 sharing lights and many body panels...not the F139...

I think they are going to base the 575 replacement largely on the 612 and that could be the reason for that. If it’s a mule for testing the motor it could explain that also.
