Im contemplating trading in my Maranello for an lp640 near me. The LP640 is a totally different car from my Maranello and would cost me maybe $40k more but I've been wanting one and I found one I love close by. Just curious if any of you made the jump and if you liked or regret it. The Maranello is a very functional car, I love it, but the LP640 is just so sexy, its orange as well.

I have spent a lot of seat time in both cars.

I am a Lamborghini guy, but the Maranello is one of my favorite driver cars. So usable and in many ways practical. Elegant.

    The Lamborghini is not.

It is like piloting a NASA space shuttle. Completely impractical but a completely unique and INSANE sensory experience.

If you are looking for a quick rush to blow your mind on the weekends, LP640 all the way.

If you are looking for a long distance weekend cruiser or something more usable, stick with the Maranello.

I loovveeed my first LP640 roadster, now have moved to an LP670SV. As said, the Murcie is an event. You look at it before entering it, you may caress it, you swing up the scissor doors, slide in and start up the Bizzarrini V12...nothing like it. Driving it can be a bit challenging with some blind spots but you just become more aware. Murcies are the last if it’s breed.
I have a 16M which is much easier to drive and also a symphonic experience. They are just very different but both deserve to be applauded.
    Do the Murcie.

if you do any work yourself on the car, they are considerably different - Ferrari is built like a mass produced car, a 12mm spanner fits most parts.
In comparison the Lamborghini requires a lot more differing tools and wasn't that well thought out for maintenance, but its still all do-able, just a different approach.
