Image Unavailable, Please Login I have the 365 GTC4 shop manual which isn’t very complete. I was wondering if someone had the torque specifications for these rear cover bolts?

In this case the torque value us based on the fastener spec not what its holding together. Look up (on-line) that bolt size, pitch and strength marked on the head to get the torque spec.

The only caveat I'd add here is that the "typical" on-line torque spec for a steel bolt using a steel nut (or threading into a female steel thread) will be much higher than the torque you should use for a steel bolt threading into a female aluminum thread -- i.e., make sure any "spec" you find is for your exact material situation. Often in the WSMs there will be a torque spec given for something else using the same thread size (and the same female thread material) that can be used as a guideline/sanity check.

So the 365GT4 2+2 doesnt have a shop manual so people generally use the 365 GTC4 manual and in my opinion that manual kind of sucks. I suppose if you were trained by Ferrari and had worked as a professional mechanic it would be ok. The GTC4 manual gives very few torque specs on any thing.
So my next thought would be to try to find a manual for a 400. Apparently there are no manuals for 400s but there is a manual for a 400i. I paid to download it and it was missing several sections including in differential section. As I’m not getting any younger I decided to just do some google search’s on 8mmx1.25 steel bolt into aluminum casting and I got numbers between 14-20 foot pounds so I went with 18. Who knows if this is even remotely correct.
