I would be appreciative if any one has info to share or history on this 2005 Superamerica located in CA. it appears to have been sold at Naples Motorsports several years back. The current dealer received it as a trade and has done some reconditioning, updated service, however has limited historic service records.

is it $319,000? I just googled the vin and saw a link saying $319k but its on carstory whatever that is, thats actually really cheap. The color isn't my favorite but $319k is a great price for such a rare car.

Wait I don't have a fire extinguisher but still very cool thanks Taz, do you have any idea how I could get a print out of it? I called Ferrari of Beverly Hills the original dealer and they told me they couldn't get it...

cgt- Sorry, I do not have too much on the other V12s and that is not one of the few I have. Have been saving everything on the 575s for almost 10 years.

Tax, thanks for providing the window sticker, your help is appreciated as always. Even the seller/salesman said they couldn’t get this info, or a build sheet even though it has reciently been serviced at a Ferrari dealer which to me is somewhat puzzling.
Anyone else know the history of this vehicle??

That’s the one; it’s one of the lowest priced SA’s but in addition to the color, it has 7 owners, no past service records (other than current owner), some cosmetic issues and few options. The current dealer has done Service and reconditioning but with that many owners and lack of service in addition to the other few issues the car is in more of the “driver” category. I’m guessing ballpark under 300k value as it comps to others.

Any dealer can print an option sheet or a build sheet from MODIS. Persons to talk to are usually their parts or service department. The sales people typically know nothing.

You realize there is a free CarFax on this car? Should shed some light on owners, issues, and locations.

Here is what iseecars.com says about its history:

Thanks for the iseecars info. I Reviewed the car fax and other internet sales info as well. Checked the car out today and it has several small issues but lack of history is a the biggest.

I would not worry that much about a lack of history if you like the car. You can bring everything up to date yourself with a complete fluid change, including F1 fluid, bleed, leak check, and self-test, and changing all the belts, tensioner bearings and filters. While doing that, your tech can check all the hoses for the cooling system, oil cooler, power steering, and AC, plus change the refrigerant and dryer/receiver. If you want to go whole hog, swap out the brake lines for SS ones.

If you plan to flip her, another story.

I’m just starting my 550/575 hunt and this is one I thought would be interesting at their asking, 319k. Drove it the other day and it’s a bit needy. The reverse had broken/failed earlier that day (handle ok) so they had the complete shift unit out and it only drove in auto mode w no reverse. I was able to manually run through the gears but I couldn’t hold high rpms in any gear and it seemed to shift automatically by default. I don’t have a lot of experience with this transmission but it seemed a bit sloppy (suposidly 72% clutch left). Lots of other small cosmetic issues, slight discoloration (not delam) of roof in one area and both windows had air gaps in rear top quarters (possible shrinkage of trim according to dealer ) and a few other issues that leads me to believe the previous owner was a turn-the-key and drive type. I’m not looking to flip but to keep and drive so I could bring the car up to my standards over time and still have a good driver.
Terry thanks for your insight; I remember a 550 or 575 checklist you had published but my searches have failed to locate it. Could you please provide the link. Thanks

Sorry, do not remember a general checklist I wrote, but after 10 years of 575 ownership and posting who knows?

Price are starting to get realistic, it seems. Lots of them sitting around as no sales because everybody wants an auction price.
