I was in touch with the current sellar and he could not send any pics except from his phone. I couldn't justify his price withou seeing something that wasn't 1x1 and blurred beyond recognition, so we passed on to another car. He has been trying to sell it for over a tear. It's coming out of a family estate and the car has a little over 21k on it now. The gentleman is selling the car for his sister-in-law, and he speaks with heavy Italian accent and was somewhat difficult to communicate with.. He stated that the car has not been driven other than in and out of driveway (I believe it has been outside the entire time he has had it) and maybe around the block. He has little confidence in anyone driving it very far. When we did get a few pics I could tell that the right front headlamp/marker had not only drooped but the corner amber has faded drastically over the main shot of the fron of the car. When I asked him about that he told me that it had faded between the pics. He said the main pic, with the headlights up, was taken in early 07. Any thing else about the car was so unrecognizable in the pics he sent that we had to base our decision on possible damages incurred while he's had the car. It's probably OK, but I'm in Nevada and Chicago is a long way to go on a whim...

I did receive a few more pictures from the sister-in-law (I think). Like you said it looks like the car lives outside and uncovered. The trees and yards in the background look like early spring or late fall so they are older pics. Dash below the windshield and on the drivers side (not sure about passenger side) show pull back and separation. Rear seats look good (they always do); fronts look ok, but some door trim looks either dirty or stained. Wheels may be developing some rust on the rims and around the lugs or may just be dirty - some clean, some hard to tell. No really good shots of the resonators but the one on passenger side looks as if it's getting a bit on the flaky/crusty side so I'm guessing the rest of the system is the same. Joe (the listed seller) said the alternator and water pump had been replaced - no explanation why. I have asked for the name and number of the mechanic but that has not yet been forthcoming. Impression at this point is that the car is a potentially good project car but only if the price drops considerably. Considering some of the cars here that have lately for super prices, this one is NOT in that category.

BTW - thanks for all the info supplied from folks
