430 Any one order or have the Morimoto Tail Lights?

Still pre-order. None have been delivered so far. I think another 3-4 weeks for the first shipments.

I’ve had my eye on the 360 Morimoto’s for more than a year now. The tails are one of the only things that date the car aesthetically in my opinion, and the Morimoto’s seem like a nice “OEM+” option. I just can’t find enough customer pictures online to convince myself that I’d love them on my car, but I’m sure that I would. I keep the webpage open on my phone permanently

 

I'm keen to see some pics - they look great.

 

I know you guys are looking at the 430 lights, so not the same, but close enough. I have the 360 lights that I installed a few months ago. I really like them, they are very bright when the brake is pressed and the back-up lights are so much better! Morimoto is very high quality and I am super happy with them. Those look great! I’ve been wanting to see more pics from 360 owners. Can you either PM me with more pics or post them here? Brake lights, nighttime, etc?

I’d be interested in contacting your dealer to see what they’re offering for FChat members. Morimoto usually has 2 or 3 10% off sales throughout the year. I was hoping for a Memorial Day sale, but might have to wait until 4th of July or Labor Day/end of summer sale for another 10% sale to roll around.

 

+1. I would be interested as well Fstbiker. I know some of the members that were on the Chinese group buy are happy with their set, but I think the Morimoto set up is so much brighter than those.

 

I ended up getting my Morimoto’s for my 360 direct from the company and installing them last week. The difference is unbelievable, in both looks but especially in light output. Pictures can’t even do it justice. I’m some of the comparison pics, it doesn’t even look like the stock lights are on, but they are.

Not if anyone wants my opinion, but here it is....for the 360 atleast.

I have the 360 Morimoto lights, and while I can't deny they are much better quality than stock and better lights overall, a REALLY excellent product, I removed them for now and they are sitting on the floor by my office desk in new condition. Not sure if I will sell them or re install them. They are great, but they are too new looking IMO for the 360. or maybe the red is too dark. Not really sure, but something just doesn't look right to me. Maybe I'm weird or wrong, but for now I'm back to stock with these collecting dust.

For some reason, maybe its the angle of the pic but it looks like they don't stick out as far as your stock ones do.

 

I feel like it's the sunken look. Don't get me wrong, they are awesome, and I really wanted updated taillights on the car, but with the sunken look and the darker red color, they do not work on a Rosso Scuderia 360 IMO. Now someone else might love them, and maybe I'll sell these eventually. I'm only holding onto them right now because I think they won't be made again and I hate to sell them if I ever want to install them again.

This also might be completely different on a 430 or on a non Rosso Scuderia colored car.

I can see where you’re coming from. I do like that the OEM red lenses match the red paint better, and the Morimoto is much darker red and does not “pop” like the OEM red, but the OEM tails are one of the only things that really date the look of the car. Some people may like that, some may not. But I usually drive with the running/parking lights on anyway, and I love the LED rings out back so much more. In the daylight, you couldn’t even tell the OEM lights were on.
But I get where you’re coming from.

 

Mine shipped as well. A project for next week though.

Good thing if you want or like stock or the next owner likes stock, you can just swap them back out. Collegeboy, if you decide to sell, lemme know plz, I’ll take them for my 360.
