430 Any one order or have the Morimoto Tail Lights?

Thanks for sending that - should greatly help me understand the system whilst I await instruction from Morimoto.

 

Just to say thanks again and also that I now have it working.

For the benefit of others, all that is wrong is that the harness has the wires the wrong way around. So, you simply have to reverse the order of the wires in the harness connectors that connect to the OEM (yellow and grey) plugs and then it all works. It took me a while to figure out how to depin the connectors, but once I did it was a 10 minute job and very easy.

The only thing I am not 100% sure on is that when putting the fog lights on, only two of them come on, rather than all four. It seems that only one of the two plugs on the harness outputs the fox light signal - this may be intentional and I am fine with it as I doubt I will ever want them, but there is nothing in the instrucitons that mentions that.

Send join request if you’re F430 owners. Only actual owners, not just enthusiast. Many other FB groups has lots of scammers in theirs. Trying to keep our group from becoming one.

JFYI for those that are interested in these lights, another member and I just got them and traced F1 system error codes back to the morimoto lights. Might be a bad batch they received from their supplier, not sure, but they are creating hurdles and not really standing by their product in my opinion. All the troubleshooting the customers should have to do is remove the lights and see if the errors return, which proves the lights are the problem. Instead, they wanted me to pay for troubleshooting the car and lights wiring to prove to them their product was the problem. Disappointing considering they look good but who needs more F1 hassles in their F430? [emoji1418]

Makes me wonder if the scuding Swiss led module for their lights would work to fix the issue. If anybody with the error wants to give my modules a try, just let me know.

 

This company needs to step up or they might be done selling ferrari lights. I'm glad I kept my oem lights

 

Seems like a lot of people I have issues with these lights. I was going to get a set for a spare, but I think ill pass.

Looks like they know these lights cause issues, as quite a few cases now being fed back, yet they still appear to be using customers to find out what the problems are!

 

Would it be fair to say, they need to sort the issues people are having first, or have they?

 

What modules do you have? I would be interested as I’ll have to find a resolution on my own since Morimoto isn’t going to be of any assistance with their bogus policies.

hi whats cost for a 430 on the lights

 

I have a separate thread on this. Basically for some reason, in some batches, the Morimoto light act as if you were to install generic led bulbs in our cars - it throws an F1 error code. I reached out to Stef at Scud Ing Swiss and he recommended the said module. I bought it, installed it, and now the F1 error code has not returned.

 

it’s a nicer module as well. Much smaller.

 

They are plug-n-play for me. No issue since installing.

By the looks of your plate you have a manual? The problem affects only F1 cars.
